The Bob Edge Scholarship Fund of Communities Foundation of Texas
Purpose of Scholarship
The Bob Edge Scholarship Fund was established in 2009 to recognize Bob Edge for his significant contributions to the Dallas/Fort Worth real estate community, and assist emerging North Texas commercial real estate professionals with their educational development. Scholarship funds will provide recipients the necessary tuition to gain such industry designations as CCIM, SIOR, MAI, as well as other qualified educational opportunities.

Selection Criteria
During his almost four decades in Dallas, Bob has been a proud mentor to numerous accomplished real estate professionals. He is a firm believer in the importance of continuing education, realizing that only through education will professionals be able to provide clients with the critical information they need in order to make informed real estate and business decisions.
Deserving professionals, regardless of corporate affiliation, will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Professional achievement
- Desire to advance their career through education
- Community involvement
- Leadership potential
- Financial need
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to receive a scholarship award, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
- Be in good standing as an employed commercial real estate professional.
- Have three years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.
- Be a U.S. citizen, documented permanent resident

CFT ranks among the country’s largest community foundations, in terms of total assets and grants awarded.
CFT enhances the experience and impact of giving by managing nearly 900 funds for individuals, families, businesses and organizations. Since its founding in 1953, CFT has granted over $1 billion in scholarships and charitable grants.

About Robert T. “Bob” Edge, Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield
In August 1974, Bob Edge relocated from California to open Cushman & Wakefield’s Dallas office. More than 38 years later, Bob continues to positively impact and influence his community, his colleagues, and his industry.
As one of the most active brokerage professionals in the country, Bob has handled many of the area’s largest real estate transactions, including the American Airlines relocation to DFW.
Bob’s accomplishments and commitment to the real estate industry have garnered him numerous accolades, including the Stemmons Service Award and induction into the Dallas Real Estate Hall of Fame.
Equally impressive is Bob’s dedication to his community, having served as the Chairman of the Youth Crime Commission, the Executive Committee of the Greater Dallas Crime Commission, the Scholarship Committee of the Jesuit College Preparatory School, the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Dallas YMCA, a member of the Board of TACA, plus awards from the City of Dallas and the FBI.
